In this modern era of computers, the laptop, desktop or smartphone is the preferred work tool for so many people. In simple terms, their websites are designed to pool enquiries that get sold onto builders that are prepared to work in a particular area, not necessarily local to you though! The other companies on the page, typically ten of them, will then be a combination of directories and bonafide building companies. If you want to support your local community, these “organic” listings are probably your best bet.
